Future 5 CEO Inspires SLOBs at September General Meeting

Clif McFeely is the founder of Future 5, a non-profit organization whose goal is to connect high school students in Stamford to their full potential. Clif is a longtime resident of New Canaan who spent his career in advertising and marketing in Stamford. He also spent many years coaching youth sports in New Canaan. Following his retirement, he became a Big Brother through the Big Brother Big Sisters of Southwestern Connecticut. He became a Big Brother to a young boy who opened his eyes to the many struggles young people face outside of our community. He could see that many of these young people are not "headed to a good place." His years as a youth coach and a Big Brother inspired him to create Future 5. "Future 5 is all about connecting "disconnected" high school students here in Stamford to the world out there academically and career-wise." Future 5 volunteer "coaches" provide workshops to help under resourced students with goal-setting and achievement, job preparation and college preparation. The Future 5 students' success will have a direct impact on the Stamford high schools, the Stamford community and the companies that operate in our area.

We thank Clif for his inspiring leadership.
