On a beautiful sunny afternoon in late September, The New Canaan Historical Society hosted its inaugural New Canaan History Day. The entire grounds were open to the public and the SLOB's volunteers helped out with all the lawn games. The SLOB volunteers helped young children enjoyed, needle in a hat stack, hoop rolling, apple toss, and cornhole. The First Selectman was on hand to welcome everyone and share the town's history with the 250 people in attendance. It was a wonderful way to spend a beautiful Sunday afternoon, helping out young children while earning SLOB hours.
