Bill Flynn, Executive Director of the NC Nature Center, educated SLOBs on all that the 62 year old nature center has to offer our community and beyond. It is not only a town park with a wide variety of native flora and fauna but is also a permanent home to a wide variety of animals that were injured and cannot be released into the wild or pets people can no longer keep. It is also the home of the oldest nature based preschool in the U.S. The Nature Center offers many programs and hosts many events including school/education programs, summer camps, community events, fundraisers and facility rentals.
