New Canaan Land Trust Grateful for SLOBs Continued Support

The New Canaan SLOBs met to repair the NC Land Trust’s longest stone wall, located at Hawkins Preserve, which measures 500 ft. long. The boys learned tips on stone wall construction from Dr. Haik Kavookjian, a stone wall aficionado and member of the Land Trust’s Stewardship Committee. Dr. Kavookjian was thrilled with our efforts noting that “the new group of SLOB's have not missed a beat as they continue to be great assets for the NCLT.” We plan to continue our commitment to the Trust by organizing more wall repair dates through out the winter as well as some invasive burning bush removal projects to come.
