SLOBs Work Hard for the New Canaan Land Trust

SLOBs volunteers were able to help the New Canaan Land Trust prepare the recently donated old Fowler home site at the Silvermine-Fowler Preserve for meadow planting. With almost 20 volunteers working hard for two hours, the boys and some parents leveled out the lot and spread mulch to a 2” thickness so that a meadow could be planted at the site that will benefit local wildlife. Aaron Lefland, the Executive Director of the New Canaan Land Trust was so grateful for all the hard work and said that SLOBs contribution was a “tremendous help” to the NCLT.
