How to Become a SLOB

Please read these instructions BEFORE filling out the membership form!


1. PARENT LOGS INTO THE SLOBS WEBSITE:

  • RETURNING Parents: 
    • Please use the same email address you used when you registered for SLOBs. This will automatically match you with your existing SLOBs membership in our website database. 
    • Note that this address may or may not be the same one you use to log into the Membership Toolkit website of the NCHS Parent Faculty Association. 

  • NEW Parents:
    • If you already have a Membership Toolkit account with another organization, like the Saxe PTC, you can use that same email to log into the SLOBs website, although you do not need to.
    • If you have no idea what we're talking about here, then just click the red "Register/Login" button on the home page and follow the prompts to create an account.

2. PARENT CONFIRMS CONTACT INFORMATION in the PARENT & STUDENT INFORMATION FORM:

  • NEW Student Members: If your son is new to SLOBs for this membership year, click the "Add a Student" button (or "Add a nth Student" for parents with older SLOBs) on the student screen.

  • ATTENTION INCOMING 9TH GRADERS! If you register for SLOBs between June 1st and the first day of school in August, your son will need to register for SLOBs using a personal email address (e.g. Gmail, Yahoo, etc.). This is because the District server does not allow us to email him until he officially begins high school. Once school starts, you can change this to his @ncps-k12.org address, or leave it as-is.
  • RETURNING Student Members: Please confirm that your contact information and your child(ren)'s contact information is correct. This ensures you'll receive all SLOBs communications. You'll be able to update your information at any time you wish throughout the year by coming back to this form.

3. FILL OUT THE SLOBS MEMBERSHIP FORM & PAY THE MEMBERSHIP DUES:

  • Fill out the SLOBs Membership Form and pay the annual dues of $35/student. There is no fee for parent members.
  • Registration for the current school year is open from June 1st until early November.
  • Returning members must renew their membership each year.

4. SIGN UP FOR A TRACK IT FORWARD ACCOUNT (new slobs oNLY):

 Track It Forward is the online system where you can view and sign up for volunteer opportunities:

  • All new SLOBs members, including parents AND students, each need to sign up for a Track It Forward account. 
  • Once you're registered with Track It Forward, you'll be able to view and sign up for volunteer opportunities and start earning service hours!
  • Returning SLOBs members should use the same Track It Forward login they used the previous year. You'll be able to see hours earned from previous membership years.
